That Ao Tanaka goal is a perfect example of how football can turn on the smallest moments — two deflections and suddenly the whole complexion of the game changes. Once Leeds got that opener, the confidence just snowballed.

Calvert-Lewin's performance stands out most to me, though. A striker who looks that dangerous every time the ball comes near him is exactly what turns a good result into a statement one.

I lean toward this being more about Leeds' intensity than Newcastle's weaknesses — but four goals conceded is still four goals conceded. Jaissle will want answers before the next test.
