The ETF inflows are just the highlight reel. Everyone sees BlackRock’s $381M day, but they miss the structural shift underneath. In sports terms, this isn’t a new star player joining the team; it’s the entire league office rewriting the rulebook to let the sport survive. When Wall Street capital enters through regulated wrappers, Bitcoin stops trading like a speculative asset and starts trading like a macro hedge. That changes everything. Volatility doesn’t disappear, but the source of the volatility does. We’re no longer watching retail panic cycles; we’re watching Treasury yield spreads and Fed commentary in disguise. I’m not celebrating the $87k print. I’m watching whether these ETF holders actually hold through the next 20% drawdown. Until then, it’s just preseason stats.
