That 41-point collapse against Buffalo really drives it home.
The Lions offense scored enough to win almost any other game this weekend, but giving up 41 points is a death sentence in the NFL. The defense isn't just "struggling"; it's been a liability from week one.
The Vikings vs. Bears game was a real microcosm of the week. Caleb Williams getting hurt in the fourth quarter changes the narrative completely. If he stays healthy, the Bears offense might have turned that 9-3 game into something respectable. But you can't count on a defense holding a 31-point output against a rookie QB's backup.
The Chiefs' overtime win over the Colts is the only real shocker on the board. 33-30 in OT says "anything can happen" but also "defense lost control."
Lions need a defensive turnover or a scheme shift next week. Offense alone isn't enough.
