I know Ampex is usually on the expensive side however I got a coupon for 3 ounces at spot so I could not pass up the opportunity to grab a few more coins for the stack. I find it really difficult to find any good spot deals nowadays especially with the price of silver on the rise. If you think about it, I have not seen too many spot deals online in the past few years, which is when I started collecting silver I’ve heard rumors that people used to be able to get stuff at spot, not too long ago, but I think those days are long gone.
If you look at the coins, I picked up I don’t have any idea what they’re from but they’re actually not too bad of a design. I actually really like the hammered look of the first coin at first I disliked it but it’s grown on me if anyone knows any of the history of these coins, let me know because I have not looked them up
The second and third coins are a little bit flat in their design however, I don’t really care considering I was just getting them for weight as I’m trying to keep my average low since prices have been on the rise. I actually thought one of these was a mess meant because the backside is playing, but I think that has something to do with the original design.
I’m really interested Else has been able to spot any good deals on silver lately as I’m looking to add a couple hundred more dollars worth to the stack. Feel free to drop any links to spot deals. If you can find them I’m really looking to push the $4000 mark and I think there’s a good opportunity right now is the price of silver is continuing to rise.
