ReggaeSteem is all about one love and those good vibes we are bringing reggae to the world and the world to Reggae. There have been many Reggae Songs posted here from a few countries outside of Jamaica (Indonesia I'm looking at you!) so I thought why not show ReggaeSteem some of the other 'talent' out there. The first stop on our world tour of Reggae is going to be the biggest country in the world, Russia! Also a very popular language and please excuse me if some of these songs are from countries which are not Russia, they are speaking Russian.
Reggae wasn't well known in Russia until recently, let's just say Soviet Russia and Reggae culture clashed. Surely some people had heard of Bob Marley, but it wasn't translated to Russian and most Russians just thought America or Europe was cool. Jamaicans are few and far between in Russia and that could have something to do with the weather. In more recent times, some aspects of Jamaican culture have found their way into Russia and let's just say I'm all for it!
Going to start it off with something to get some of your attention. Just to show you that Russians have picked up on perhaps one of my favourite aspects of Jamaican culture, dance moves. ENJOY!

Yes, that's right up there with some of the biggest celebrities on the planet, who would have thought Reggae or Dancehall style music was so popular in that part of the world.
