Why is there so much evil in this world? - MCGI TOPIC|THE OLDPATH

‎

‎When man walked in disobedience against God he gave up his authority that was given to him by God to have dominion over the earth and handed it over to the devil making him the prince of this world.
‎
‎We learn this when Jesus was being tempted by the devil in the wilderness. The third temptation that the devil presented Jesus with was to bow down to him for him to receive all the glory of this world which indicates that the devil is in charge of this world.
‎
‎We see it in various sectors in the world; we see it in the area of politics, entertainment and so on. Whatever the enemy the devil is in charge of always births forth evil.
‎
‎Walking against God causes evil to fall upon us. It happened countlessly with the Egyptians on their way to the promise Land. For every time that they walked against God and neglected his commandments they ended up bringing evil upon themselves.
‎
‎God is a shield onto us. The day we start living outside him we make ourselves susceptible to the attacks of the enemy. The enemy never wants to see us experiencing anything good so he finds a way to lure us out of the covering of God by enticing us with sin and when we do that we fall into his hands.
‎
‎For us not to let this happen we need to return to God with a repentant heart.
