All too often I work side by side with individuals who lack good work ethic. This is concerning to me because we are a country that has been motivated and built by innovation and hard work. Now there have always been sub-par workers which is expected from my point of view as we have different levels of intelligence. What I have been seeing lately though seems to correlate with a loss of positive self image coupled with a growing attitude of selfishness and entitlement. There are so many issues that people complain about these days that could be solved easily if a little honest hard work and effort were put forward. What happened to perseverance and patience while working towards a better life? It seems to have been replaced with taking a part-time job to stare at a wall while making sure any government assistance isn't cut by getting too many hours.
