This article left me surprised. God, the situation in Africa seems to be terrible for women.

Some time ago I read a post from a girl where she commented that in Africa working and getting married is frowned upon by women. I honestly find it regrettable that they are not allowed to help their partners financially.

The way I see it is that money is shared, 70% of each person's earnings are shared and the rest is for one's own enjoyment and gifts.

How sad that men feel inferior when they receive expensive gifts from their wives, but more unfortunate is that this thought is a reflection of them feeling superior for being men and providing for the family. I hope that this mentality will change in the coming years.
