The human behavior never stops to amaze me. Somebody told me the other day that she never was, walked or entered a park she's living close to. How is that possible? Not to go in a park a few steps away from home. It's something wrong with this picture or it's just me?
I like people on the move, the ones who want to know, to be, to feel.
The park I'm talking about it's Carol Park in Bucharest. Although small, it's one of my favorites. The most common activity here during summer is climbing the stairs. That's what I do for a week now. There is an heterogenous group of people doing that: some are doing some sports, you can tell, and this is extra, some just enjoy to workout in open air and some are rather not do this, but their clothes just don’t fit anymore. I'm not going to tell you in which category do I fall. 😊
The stairs are going up on the hill to a Mausoleum and the tomb of the unknown soldier from WWI. People stop when the guard is changing every hour.
There is a small artificial lake here, too. I like it when it’s frozen during winter, when are baby ducks on it or when you can row a boat. Apparently, I’m not the only one who loves the puddles. Look at this dog:
Aside the main alley, there are two big sculptures named the Giants, the works of art of two famous Romanian sculptors: Dimitrie Paciurea and Frederic Storck.
There are, in each park, beautiful corners to discover with each walk. You just must want to see, to get out of the house. Or read some posts on Steemit 😊 This is me, in Carol Park.
Where do you like to walk?
