Heaven Official's Blessing is a donghua based on the novel of the same name written by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu and published by Jinjiang Literature City in 2017.
Xie Lian was the beloved Crown Prince to the throne of Xian Le. He ascended to the heavens at a very young age to serve as a martial god. After a few disastrous stints on earth, which made him a laughingstock among the gods and created a huge debt to the heavenly realm, Xie Lian ascends to heaven for the third time and is sent to earth as a heavenly officer with a mission to exorcise ghosts.
There, he meets a ghost king named Hua Cheng, who harbors a platonic crush on him and protects him from harm. In her quests to settle her doubts with the celestial realm and increase her prestige, Xie Lian discovers strange things about the gods and her own past.
