The rotating components of the VTOL Neoptera electric concept allow excellent flight capabilities
A team of engineers from the University of Bristol (United Kingdom) and Toulouse (France) is developing a new VTOL electric light aircraft (vertical take-off and landing). The plane is called Neoptera and must be capable of transporting two to five passengers or an equivalent payload. The design was completed last September and few work-scale models were tested in the following month.
