Pretty 'unfair' and a really poorly thought out way to try to make an argument- but the best thing everyone can do is take the free bit of steem and ignore them. Bullies can only be bullies if we let them change and beat us down. If you are worried or want to talk a bit more about it, feel free to mention or ping/DM me on discord.
All that being said, we also have to try to help people who might react with fear at first understand that part of the beauty of Steem is that no matter what, you can do a thing- like vote for a witness, or write, or whatever- and someone trying to spend all the money in the world can't take it from you and can't force you. Can't falsify or change your votes, or have any impact on your decisions unless you choose to let it be so. Doesn't feel good and doesn't make things up, but it's a powerful statement, especially in these times. In any case, there are so many people who vote for Mark's witness that it's likely any downvoting attempts will be diluted anyways. Means that if they want to buy more Steem, they're going to have to push up the price for everyone else.
