Wow!

Thank You for reminding me of Mark Twain's "The War Prayer." It is quite the ideal companion to what I've published here. I may have come across it long ago, and forgotten about it...

I find it fascinating that Twain also attempted to draw back the veil and expose the truth that, despite what the words of a prayer may say, they imply an underlying reality.

"The State, whatever name it uses around the world, is always a death cult."

When 'the state' is correctly identified and classified in its proper theological category—namely, the kingdom of satan—it becomes much clearer why this is true, and why it has been immutably true of all states throughout history.

"Theft and murder are its business..."

This also becomes clear in the words of Jesus: "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy." - John 10:10

"...it demands your allegiance to its dictates above those of your own conscience."

Indeed! And, as Paul the Sent One tells us, "... whatever does not proceed from faith is sin." - Romans 14:23

I believe the state is irredeemable and must be destroyed.

Before Christ came, that agenda was carried out violently (e.g. the conquest of Canaan). Now, however, according to the teachings of our LORD and his delegates (apostles) in the Greek scriptures, we should expect to see this happen by attrition.

The ecclesia (church) needs to become such an appealing alternative governance structure when compared and contrasted with the state that the peoples of the nations will gladly and voluntarily submit to it in preference to the beastly state.
