Sing not praise songs of my fame
Nay, chant not in frenzy, my name
Hallow the worthy One who came
When friends thinned as streams
in dry spring, folks like aborted dreams.
Empty, bland, hung on the wall of shame
Unwanted, worthy not, of a penny
He took me in, into His hall of fame
For He saw perfection in my flaws
Rare beauty in my frail, ugly cores
Brush dipped in bright, and beautiful colours.
I painted, He in glorious splendours.
Pulchritudinous grandeur
of His very image.
Canvass of holiness.
Pigments of majesty.
Strokes after strokes,
Out of a despicable, waning,
distraught, soul
Came forth a masterpiece
Eyes' cynosure, to see
loved and adored, I became
the Master's Piece.
For He loved me
More than I did, me.
