As I experiment with growing different annual flowers each year, it is always fun to watch and see what sort if wildlife they attract.
Noticed some metallic green bees/flies one year. Since they were shopping for pollen alone, I assumed they were some kind of mason bee.
Nicotania Red in has just started to blossom in my yard. Hoping that becomes a magnet for various nectar loving species. I love growing it for the fragrance, the color, and the pollenators. Chemicals in the leaves, made into a tea, becomes a natural pest deterrent against aphids.
