Edit: Please pardon the many typos below. The Google keyboard on my tablet makes the worst automatic suggestions. So I am leaving it to either annoy or entertain for humor.
Oh my, this is so funny to read, for me.
When I write a post, I expect nothing. My best works are usually undervalued. The post I want the most exposure on get the fewest votes. The ones I want the most engagement Iget the least comments. And the posts I completely wing it with less effort or expectations go bananas. In way I get angry when my own crappy banana posts out-perform some better I wrote from a day or two ago.
There are so many rediculous variables that can determine the outcome of a posts rewards, vote count, engagement, and downvotes. It is no easier to predict the weather, the stock market, or the expected post value.
You are such a saint to be so kind and constructive in communicating your dissatisfaction. Remember, you cannot control who will take your advice, who will choose to read it, or even who will not miss out completely, but at least we have this bullhorn called Hive. Do eat (vote) a few bananas now and then, because they are good for you. Then throw some banana peels out (downvotes) and laugh, because every result is completely random around here anyway. Throw out enough peels, and eventually a person will move on and stop bringing you more bananas.
