Hey! I like how you described the context in which you have read this book and how is has helped you, becoming a sort of refuge in the midst of chaos. I can't imagine how it is to live day to day in a country like Venezuela. I believe that one has to develop a mental health of steel in order to be able to remain sane during turmoil.
People will always have more power in numbers, we are tempted to believe. In the same time I think that sometimes the ideal that unites the people can have even more power, somehow making people a slave to it. It is a very nuanced topic and I think that the way people choose to express themselves, in the name of an idea, can vary a lot. We have all seen crowds of people doing good and crowds of people doing harm. The seed for violence will always be there but we have our brain which is supposed to make us take rational decisions. Yet we are far from an advanced species where we could all live in harmony and make the Planet that we are living on to thrive.
Thank you for the entry and Happy Holidays to you too!:)
