I am starting to believe that idealizing the retirement days is very dangerous as it can prevent someone to truly live their life in the present moment. You choosing to rely on luck vs someone working like crazy until they hit 70 ....you are instantly at a win because you will not ruin your health and your happiness in order to accumulate riches to use 30 years from now. Retirement happiness might just as well be an illusion, a way to ignore the fact that we can choose to enjoy life now. Sell what we believe we have to sell now. And live a life which is not burdened by our projections for the future. It is very good to have plans and save. In the same time, it is even better to enjoy life now. I truly hope the luck you hope for will happen and that you will soak up in richness at old age. 🤗
