Oh you are so right with this post! I guess that not so many people think about this small mundane detail of life: windows. I also believe it is depressing to sit in a room with no windows. Somehow it makes you feel like a little rat lol, and it is totally affecting your creativity. I am glad that you managed to move in a more rural area and that you feel peaceful doing what you love, it is a great accomplishment!
