This beautiful plant is known as the trunk of Brazil, Palo de Brasil or Palo de Agua and its scientific name is: Dracaena fragrans which belongs to the asparagaceae family.
It is a tropical shrub native to tropical Africa, from Ivory Coast to Sudan and from Angola to Mozambique.
This plant has bright green leaves and its growth is slow, it grows up to 6 meters when cultivated on land, because in a pot it limits its growth.
This plant is popular for its tolerance of neglect and varying levels of light, plus it helps remove chemicals such as formaldehyde as well as xylene and toluene.
As already mentioned in the presentation, it is used as an ornamental, more than anything to decorate the interiors of houses.
