Hello Friend

Negative thoughts are frequent and annoying. To overcome this, there is nothing wrong if you write down the various negative thoughts that arise.

In fact, getting rid of negative thoughts is not an easy matter. You can escape the annoying thoughts by watching your favorite movies, but that doesn't mean that the negative thoughts will go away.

So, how do you calm the negative thoughts that are raging?

Psychologist and cognitive expert Sian Beilock says that a study has found a way to 'cleanse' the mental. The study, published in Psychological Science, says simply writing down negative thoughts and then throwing away the paper is effective in reducing disturbing bad thoughts.

"Our neural circuits do not always make a clear distinction between mental and physical. Getting rid of negative thoughts physically also lowers negative thoughts," wrote Beilock on the page Psychology Today.

In addition to lowering the volume of negative thoughts, pouring them out in writing will bring the following benefits.

  1. Identify patterns
Not everything you think is true. Psychologist Regine Galanti said that thoughts are like sunglasses. If you looked at the world with sunglasses, things would look a little different.

  2. Help find ways to feel better
There are many ways to deal with thoughts that start with awareness. Thus, you must know and be well aware of what is being faced.

After issuing thoughts in writing, your next task is to investigate them. You can see where those negative thoughts come from, what affects them, and so on.

  1. Providing relief
People often prefer to avoid negative thoughts rather than face them. However, this method will make someone feel worse. Meanwhile, the courage to admit it, face it, and write it down can provide its own relief.
