I think it's very clear that always being available to everyone can hinder our own goals. This "selfish journey" wasn't about coldness, but about self-responsibility. Maturity, I don't know. The balance you mentioned is exactly the key point: putting yourself first is sometimes necessary, but turning that into a rule is what becomes a problem. That's what I wrote in my text.
