Provided that you know your child well, you can tailor your instructional methods to him / her. Some learn best by reading.
Some learn by listening.
Others learn by visuals.
Yet some learn best by doing.
You can also adjust the pace of your teaching to suit your child. This may be harder in a school, where things are paced to suit average learners.
