Sofia Globe today reported severe weather warnings of code red, across many regions for tomorrow. This is due to excessive heat in most of the country, and are considered to be dangerous.
The areas most affected by tomorrow are Gabrovo, Haskovo, Lovech, Montana, Veliko Tarnovo, Pazardjik, Pleven, Plovdiv, Razgrad, Ruse, schumen, Silistra, Sliven, Stara Zagora, Targovishte, Vraca, and Yambol.
Temperatures in these regions are expected to hit somewhere between 41-45 degrees Celcius. The danger is pointed mainly at elderly people and small children. Code Red means you should avoid travel, people are suggested to stay at home or at least in the shade and drink plenty water. People in the area should keep informed of the weather conditions and the risks connected to it.
Orders and advice given by authoritarian bodies should be followed at all costs.
For the remaining regions remains code orange for Blagoevgrad, Kustendil, Smolian, Burgas, Pernik, Sofia, Vidin, Kardjali and Varna. Temperatures are set to be between 38 and 41 Celcius.
This might turn out to be one of the hottest summers in decades, the highest recorded temperature was 45.2 C according to the kashval-tourist blog.
