Hooo, I love playing with materials in 3D. So this is based on several colors of 'spun metal' compiled into an additive shader, rotated with increasing value along the Z distance from the camera. It doesn't make any sense in real life, but in the machine it works just fine. If anything it delivers a strange, alien energy to the design, as simple as it is.
