Difficulties increased from 1 Million to 2 Million in August. And it has raised from 2 Million to nearly 4 Million as at today and its not even the end of September yet.
Dash difficulties chart (https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/dash-difficulty.html#3m)
This shows an exponential increment in difficulties. If this continues to grows consistently, if my calculation was right,
by early December, the difficulty level might hit 16 Million, using the same today block reward and Dash/USD price, will result in only USD600/mth return if you are using Antminer D3. Still a lot better than most ASIC miners today.
Sudden increase in the difficulties in solving a block was probably caused by massive production of X11 based ASIC miners, especially the Antminer D3 from Bitmain. Rumors saying there's a total 32,000 unit of D3's has been paid for all batches from September to November.
This article was made to give a friendly reminder to all my fellow Dash miners, especially those new ones who read this, would prepare for the outcome due to this possible spike in the coming months.
Happy mining guys!
