Can't decide if I agree or disagree. I'm particularly curious how you use the term wisdom as this is an abstract and subjective concept that cannot be reasonably quantified. Yet it almost seems as if you are using it in such a manner, I could be wrong.

I don't believe a 'cap' on potential earnings is wise however I can understand how someone might think it could be. I'm certainly a sub-minnow category player (being fairly new here and all) and it most certainly can be a big challenge to move up the ranks as you suggest.

As for downvotes, my less than humble opinion is that anyone who actually does such is far to self absorbed and will never receive any consideration from me. Such actions clearly indicate a me-before-we mindset. If I find a post that I totally disagree with it's either make a counter argument comment or ignore and move on. I may not like what someone has to say but in support of the community I am obligated not to try and stomp on their understanding and perspective. Simple basic human respect.

A good post and interesting perspective you offer. Worthy of an upvote for what little it benefits.
