They realize their core users (teens from Twitch and Tumblr who are having a gender crisis) have almost no cash money to afford a totally optional, completely free chat service -- and one they can get anywhere else. So what do you do to turn an unviable product into a salient investor-pleasing package?

Discord displays your very personal user profile and image on any discord community you manage, creating an ugly, exposed personal customer-facing debacle for the end user.

Stable Diffusion has cracked the lid on the hypocrisy and fakeness of the Openai initiative by Google Corp. OpenAI has been completely obliterated by the real, truly Open Source Code Community on Github and Huggingface.
--I mean, it was so ugly for Google, one of their AI guys tweeted how SD should never have been released to the public!
After SD was leaked or otherwise disseminated for the masses on Github, the amazing involvement and breakthroughs happening on Github have been such an embarrassing exposure of Googles greed and posturing as a common man's company and friend.
The fact is, under Google's OpenAI initiative, algorithm research was halted, delayed and stunted.
Why? Google placed obstacles in the way of validation of their research. Rather than provide the code openly, they prevented legitimate researchers access to their "advances in AI".
So it was quite the embarrassment when Stable Diffusion image generation models were made freely available at various checkpoints. Google's teams practically pooped themselves. All their OpenAI tools suddenly fell face first into history as a joke.
You can't have a party if you eat the cake all by yourself.
But Try as they might to turn what are essentially spellcheckers into viable proprietary products, the darned open source community breaks their products exclusiveness and marketability.

This exact same attempt to censor text AI, resulted in an unusuable pre 1999 chat bot for the Dungeon AI revolutionary text ai game. Prior to the censorship, Dungeon AI was a remarkable, enjoyable and legible expirience.
--Now it's dead in the water due to a disfigured story telling AI model.
Alas, the same is happening right here with Stable Diffusion and rapid fire image generation AI algorithm models.
