With more and more fruit ripening, today's crop provided for a full salad. We've got some peas, tomatoes, cucumbers and a couple of nasturtium flowers. Cucamelons, also called mouse melons for obvious

Hey all! We've reached the last step with this brew. It's been a while since I've done anything to it; actually I'm lying a bit, 4 days ago I've kinda racked the beer, I've simply moved it to a different

Found this little thing earlier. I've seen Duff Beer before but never tried it so I got one and this evening I had it while pottering around the greenhouse. Won't really go into a lot of detail about this

I was in a supermarket yesterday doing my food shopping and I stumbled across something unexpected, I had to do a double take to make sure I didn't imagine it. It was Timisoreana. Sure, the logo has changed

Hey, As you can see things have been going pretty well in the greenhouse, my tomatoes reached the top of their vines and some the top of the greenhouse so I had to lower the strings supporting them. I'm

The other day I bought 2 new beers mostly because of their labels. Check out this dapper wolf gentleman; if that doesn't screem class I don't know what does! This one is brewed by Sweden's Kopparberg,

Yesterday we've had some really nice weather so I went fishing on the local river. I've had a perfect start, first cast and this little guy joined me on the bank for about 30 seconds. He must have been

Hey, Everyone likes strawberries, everyone. Last spring I bought 4 strawberry plants from a garden centre and I've turned them into 25 and it's that time of the year again. Now if you grow them in a bed,

It has been less than a year since I had my first sour beer and I am falling for them, hard. The main issue around here is availability; there are no pubs serving sours in my town, nor any shops selling

Things are exploding in there, my cucamelons are growing like there is no tomorrow and they've created a green wall. A few vines started working together and are already poking out through my ceiling vent.

This is the recipe of the beer @buzzbeergeek is having the honour of reviewing, heh, bit of a big head here? This is at pretty much the 1st level of homebrewing, maybe level 1.5 because I changed the standard

So.... I'm writing my first milestone post! Didn't think I'd get here this quick! 100+ followers! Whoop whoop! source I've been on steemit for just a bit over 3 weeks now and have been thoroughly enjoying

Good morning! It's been 7 days since I started the last brew and about 4-5 days since it started talking. Fermentation slowed down and I took a gravity reading yesterday; the starting gravity was 1038-1040

I haven't been doing much work in the greenhouse during the last week so the plants were a bit out of control. Tomatoes grow really fast and if you are growing them single stemmed like I do there are a

The UK fishing season started on the 16th so I was walking down my local river this morning trying to see if the fish know about this yet. I had a beer on me, specially picked for the Saturday beer channel;
