About 2 months ago I've cleaned up my strawberries and moved a large part of them inside the greenhouse. I wanted to see if there's going to be any growth differences.
The results are in and ... it is a big YES. The ones outside, are pretty much unchanged, tiny new growth and they still look like they're in winter mode.
There's no buds, no nice young leaves, not much of a change to be honest.
The ones inside on the other hand, are looking great. They're about twice as tall, nice and healthy looking.
And....we've got buds! First strawberries aren't too far away now.
Last year was a lot better; on Easter(2 weeks later than this year's to be fair) we ate a lot of strawberries; don't really think I'll have any until the end of the month.
Oh well, no strawberries yet but this year should give a way longer season as the ones inside will produce weeks before the outside ones; all good fun.
Cheers!
