Another card from the latests DICE set is highlighted again this week in the Share Your Battle Challenge organized by the Splinterlands team. So a good time for to learn something more about the Naga Brute...
The only cards I have from the DICE expansion are the Owster Rothwell and Qud Yuff which I bought on the market (0.55$ and 0.30$ or below) to lease out to new players in the sign-up deal I'm offering (See December Deal). So the weekly Battle challenge is a nice opportunity to explore some of them. I did start playing tournaments where it pays to have a wide variety of cards without needing to have them all at a higher level. Anyway, This card which has armor that doesn't get bypassed by Magic attack is useful in matches where either Ranged or Melee attack is not allowed.
The rules in this game were that no Ranged monsters were allowed which I countered with a combination of the Camila Sungazer summoner (-1 Melee attack) and the Naga Brute in first position followed by 3 Melee monsters Manticore | Parasitic Growth | Silvershield Assassin I ended the line-up with Bila The Radiant and the Armorsmith for possible armor regeneration and protection against Sneak
I pushed last season with my level 3 Alt account reaching Diamond League while it's only competitive to compete in the silver leaderboard. This pushed me back in the gold league making for average battles against opponents with better cards. this one was quite even and I closely ended up taking the win. The Naga Brute certainly has its place in the game even though it's not a must-have card and it also doesn't really fit my personal play style.

Important: Treat games in the first place as games and not as investment opportunities, Splinterlands allows you to earn some money and get good returns but you are much better off flipping burgers in Mcdonalds when looking at the money earned for the time invested. Investing also comes with a risk of card values going down.
