The way I see it, you either are forced to play at least 1 hour each day in Modern and see your investment trend to zero as the clock ticks down to the day cards get dumped in Wild and become useless, or you let a bot play in Wild and stop caring about the game.
The split between Wild and Modern combined with the removal of Collection Power has been one of the worst changes in Splinterlands. The wild pass itself is just a direct decrease in rewards devaluing cards more while it helps to remove all the lower level bot farms.
What Splinterlands needs most is new game modes in my view.
