Nice to see you back on Steemit. Things got a whole lot more complicated with the new system. Basically votes are worth less on low payout posts and worth more on high payout posts thanks to the non-linear reward curve. This means you basically get punished on your curation rewards if you now upvote small or new guys. To do well you just have to upvote those who you know will get high enough payouts to reach the linear reward curve around minute 5.

The entire system is retarded, add to that the free downvotes causing different flagging wars and the million different streem tribe tokens people try to get their hands on just to sell and it's easy to see how broken everything is right now.
