These are previews from matches involving Belgian Teams with all the latest on team news, player form, and injuries along with my personal betting angles, ...

Not the best restart yesterday with an overall loss of -0.45 units on the match between Beveren and Lommel. However, it could have been worse in case I chased the Beveren unbeaten streak which I didn't and the 0.74-1.5xg didn't really justify the 4-goal scoreline so it's ok. 4 more matches and chances today to get something going again...

Cercle Brugge vs Anderlecht

Cercle Brugge after 7 weeks is in 2nd last position and have yet to take a win. So far they seem to be better on the road where they Went 1.5W-0.5L-2P against the asian handicap while at home they are 0W-2L-1P. I would say they aren't actually that bad but they overall just create too little and are unable to put up a real end offense if it's needed. Based on their statistics there are more somewhere in the lower mid-table. In their 3 home matches, they created 10-9-8 corners and in 2 of their away matches they managed to create 11 corners. Anderlecht in their last match made a good impression with a 3-0 win over Zulte-waregem. Overall they have been quite break even on their asian handicaps and seem to be a team that once again is capable of both good and bad things. They have some issues in the defense with Biancone out and his replacement questionable but overall I think they should be fine. I can see multiple completely different scenarios as another easy win for Anderlecht would not be a surprise while a first win for Cercle also is not unthinkable. My main eye goes out to the Cercle Brugge corners as they have shown capable on that end. So I will be watching out for that without taking anything yet. Anderlecht players got a week off which has gotten some questionmarks so today it will show if the coach was right or not with that call. No Pre-Game Bets

La Louviere vs Club Brugge

Club Brugge had most players leave for International games so it remains to be seen how they come out of this and how it affects them. They came off a dominant and clean 3-0 win over Racing Genk in week 7 and they are not a team I'm willing to oppose as they still can win a match easily on a bad day. All of this reflects in fairly break even results against their handicaps at 4W-3M-0P so far which indicates that they are valued pretty fairly. My strategy on them is to either take a 1H bet or to wait and it stays even for a while or they somehow get behind. if they are up by 1 goal late I also don't mind taking a bet on them finishing it late on a counter. La Louviere is currently 14th with 4 points and based on my personal ratings they have been the 2nd worst team in the league. They are left at only 1W-4.5L-1.5P on their handicaps and they are a team that is on my list to oppose against good teams. Last season during a period they used to be a team which top teams had a really hard time against in their home stadium with an artificial pitch. So I'm sticking to the same strategy on waiting in a Club Brugge match and hoping it stays even for some time or they get behind. No Pre-Game Bets

Genk vs Kortrijk

Genk is currently 11th in the standings and it pretty much always is the same story. They have a squad with good technical quality but they can't defend and lack real leaderships or backbones. If they play forward and attacking they always end up getting a bunch of goals against and if they focus more on the defense they fail to create much. I still see them as a team who when things start clicking could be a really strong side but for now there are no indications. Against Club Brugge in week 7, they could have scored but overall were just a couple levels below their opponent. Kortrijk is still last and they are one of those teams where it often looked quite ok but sooner or later they just kind of collapsed. They actually took their first win last match but this was followed by getting eliminated in the cup and their coach to be changed. It remains to be seem what style they will play today under new coach Daniel Beichler and if they will be capable of this. Often when teams switch to a more pressing system it takes some time to get used to it causing some big losses. I do expect Kortrijk to come out quite strong putting up a lot of work which might get them tired later in the match. The pre-game -1.25 line on the home team doesn't really tempt me and I will just wait and see. No Pre-Game Bets

Zulte-Waregem vs AA Gent

AA Gent has pretty much been the hot team in the league and with 19 points, they are co-leaders with Union at the moment. They get praised for their strong defense and lead the xg standings against at just 0.8 on average each match. However, Ngom got injured who performed very good so far. I also see them as a team who kind of have been overperforming and got lucky. In their last match against Standard they were quite lucky to take the win late thanks to Standard. At the same time, they also rarely get shaken up and play quite mature. The match before they played a poor 2nd half away against Genk which ended in a 1-1 draw not creating or giving away too much. The week before against Cercle brugge the 0-3 score was exagerrated with an own goal, a cheap penalty and late counter. So because of this, I'm not in the camp of seeing AA Gent as a real contender and I would not be surprised if at some point they start getting too high handicaps and fail to cover them. So far though they are a clean 6W-0L-1P on them and it's also not that all of a sudden they have become major favorites. Zulte-Waregem is a team who started the season well but their performances (despite winning some of the matches) has gone downhill. They overall are quite low on xg created at 1.19 in the last 4 while they are the 2nd worst on xg against at 1.9 on average in their last 4 matches. AA Gent has their main striker Vergara injured and Cissé is expected to replace him. Basically I don't trust Zulte enough to back them also because the line on AA Gent hasn't really been adjusted to their results while I look to oppose them if it happens as I think they got quite fortunate. What has adjusted fully though is the AA Gent under lines which are now set at 2.25. with Ngom out they might not be as solid defensively anymore and it's getting tempting to go for the over. The only real lean I have currently is on AA Gent Team total Over but I will also here just wait and see. No Pre-Game Bets
