Hibernian vs AA Gent
The match last week was one where the coach of AA Gent upfront said that they really wanted to win it while at the same time avoid to give too much away. Aside from a penalty (which Roef saved), they didn't give anything away and again kept a clean sheet but they also just lacked creativity to create anything against the Hibernian defense with 5 players. So that match ended in a 0-0 score. Today, Hibernian plays at home and AA Gent hopes they will play more forward with risk so they can exploit this on the counters. I do expect that AA Gent goes there today again with the goal to keep things closed in the defense which they are capable of and to try to get one in on a counter and I would not be surprised if they succeeded. In the end, AA Gent should be the better team as they are the one with much higher value (62M vs 20M). I also would not be surprised if at the start of the match Hibernian showed to be the team with more initiative which pushes he price on AA Gent up. So the best case scnario, Hibernian starts off pushing, the odds shift to AA Gent as the underdog, it stays 0-0 for a while and the pressure goes away for me to at that point take a bit on AA Gent. If Hibernian scores, AA Gent should be able to switch toward more offense while the home team likely will crawl back which might give a good opportunity on the Gent corners who won it last match with 7-2. Omonia vs Sint-Truiden
Both teams last week pretty much took zero risk especially in the 1st half. Omonia at the start of the 2nd half was more dangerous but Stvv started pushing a bit more after minute 67 and eventually scored the 1-0 in minute 94'. This gives them a good position for the match today but also a tricky one as there is a big danger for them to crawl back too much hoping in the counters. It also kind of reflects in the odds as Omonia is the -0.5 favorite and the -2.5 handicap favorite on the corners while they lost them with 6-1 away in Sint-Truiden. The home team taking a the lead might also slow things down a bit as extra time is an option. I kind of feel like that is were some value might be and I took just 0.04 units on Omonia to win By 1 Goal @ 4.030. If it stays even, big risks will need to be taken late by the home team. This one could be more intersting in-game.
Anderlecht vs Kairat Almaty
This match pretty much should be played as Anderlecht 0-3 also showing the better team. At the same time, they scored an instant 0-1 and Almaty got red already in the 1st half. In the 2nd half, Almaty was weak but Anderlecht failed to score more goals. So it should be good for Anderlecht but at the same time they can't just yet take it easy and bench a lot of key players. There is nothing that makes me want to take Anderlecht at a -1.5 line here since they don't have to win, have a key match over the weekend, and might underestimate Almaty who played with 10 most of the previous match. I do expect Anderlecht to start this match with the intention to score early and just fully seal the qualification and for Almaty to want to score the 0-1 also early as they can't wait for a late draw score. The only way they possibly could turn it around is by scoring early so Anderlecht gets some doubts. Almaty in their European away matches last season scored against Arsenal / Kopenhagen / Inter / Sporting so they very much have shown to be capable. Today they have to take risks, and at some point especially if they fall behind, they will face a team who might drop their focus a bit and de subs with an eye on the weekend match. So I kind of like the odds for Almaty to score today and took 0.16 units on Kairat Almaty Team Total Over 0.5 @ 1.880
