Same here, I'm just skipping the Legendary cards for now first focusing on the epics and lower. The price difference is also massive.

It would be even worse without those. My main point stays which is that tournaments themselves one way or another should always be played on a fully level playing field. This doesn't mean that the entry

I'm not saying that there shouldn't be a required investment, tournaments would just be way more fun, fair and accessible to more in case there was a dynamic where everyone played on a level playing field.

Yeah, that's so stupid about it! Only when you own all the best cards you can play tournaments pretty much. How the hell do they expect some real adoption for the game with a model like this. For 99%+

In my view, Tournaments right now are completely unfair and stupid. The best way to compare is if there would be a poker tournament with an entry fee but some players get way better odds to be dealt good

This week a report on the earnings I got from Splintelands in the past 365 days. Hive Post: Also Shared on Publish0x & Noise.App Thanks!

yeah, this data if anything really showed me the key for any Play2Earn game, if printing is too high with nothing keeping up the asset values, no new players will come in and everything will collapse.

100% agree, the removal of CP was the beginning of the end for card values and it only got worse by introducing the soulbound reward cards in such a large amount while including summoners. The sad thing

One thing is sure, something needs to be done to make cards hold their value better as it's impossible to outearn the expected decline which makes it so that no new players will come in. What I suggest

All it shows is that more and more players are just fed up and no longer willing to buy assets. The next thing they could do now is make the next promo cards crazy overpowered to increase sales which would

Despite everything, I am convinced that the Splinterlands team is doing its best to alleviate all these disagreements with players and investors, even if they do not get the ball rolling. Yeah, I also

Inflation and the Card-Price-Gap have been killing the game. There is no point for any new player to come into the game knowing the cards they need to buy will lose all their value once dumped into Wild.

I agree, after 6 years the game also lost me and I just bot my account now with an eye to get out. I do find Soulkeep actually much more fun & simple, and way cheaper to get into compared to Splinterlands.

It was a no-brainer to pick the Olivia Of The Brook Epic Rebellion Reward card for this one. Hive Post: Also Shared on Publish0x & Noise.App Thanks!

My main fear is also that the team continues to go their way to a point where it's just too late to save the game. I would be highly surprised if this marketing and 'new player experience' did not turn

The way I see it right now, there are just zero selling points for Splinterlands in its current form. Some drastic change needs to be made if they want the game to succeed. Splinterlands for sure does

Another long one this week with some concrete ideas on how to give older cards some more value again. Hive Post: Also Shared on Publish0x & Noise.App Thanks!

Happy Anniversary Matt, and I would say hang in there! I can imagine this past year has been quite stressful with the place Splinterlands and the market is in. Just know, the potential of the game that

At least the good thing is that there is a limit to how much Hive can be inflated due to the HBD dynamic. At least that is what I understand so a total death spiral is not really on the table from one

The only way to buy or sell SBET is on coinstore.com centralized exchange It has a market maker and 1.85% of the total supply there so not much is needed to move the price up when buying or move the price
