The New Belgian Season unofficially starts today with the Super Cup and I have also been watching some of the friendly matches. There will be multiple of those today and maybe I also get some bets in on those. I already had some pre-game bets on this match today mainly using Crypto books as their lines were too soft before asian released their odds. (Link)

Club Brugge vs Union SG

I took a bunch of bets early on Club Brugge under the premise that the home team traditionally wins the Super Cup (18W-0L in last 19 Years!) with the visitors seeing it more as a glorified practice match. Club Brugge also is the team with overall more quality while Union once again had to take a new coach while seeing multiple key players leave. Based on all this, it made no sense whatsoever for Union to be nearly the favorite in this match and I didn't hold back placing bets on crypto bookies with a stake adding up to 650$+ as I wasn't able yet to take it on the asian bookies. When the line there was released, the odds were a bit lower and I managed to take 0.2 units on Club Brugge +0 @ 1.776. All of these were shared on the SBC Discord as always. The odds currently are a lot lower compared to what I managed to get with pinnacle down to 1.52 odds for the Brugge +0 Line. However, Club Brugge got hit harder by injuries and missing players compared to what I anticipated. Sabbe, Meijer and De Cuyper are out which makes them having to play with backup wingback players Et-Taibi & Seys which isn't optimal. Ondrejka and Zinckernagel also are injured while Skov Olson, Skoras, Ordoniez also aren't there yet. This leaves them with a less than full A-Squad but still plenty of quality with Mignolet, Mechele, Vetlesen, Vanaken, Jutgla, and some new guys that look to have quality. Their latest practice match was also easily won with 3-0 against Norwich mainly because the goals went in really easily for them early on. Union on the other hand didn't lose as many players as I anticipated yet so far only really losing their attacking line with Nilsson (who went to Club Brugge) and Amoura. They still have Puertas who is key and Machida who I anticipated to no longer be with them by now. In their last practice match, they also showed good fighting power against Sporting CP despite having a hard time at the start getting behind 2-0 to still end the game with a 2-2 score. Union also lost the title to Club Brugge and it looks like they are really motivated for this match online most away teams in the supercup in the past. So based on the current odds, I have excellent positions on Club Brugge but I don't nearly feel as confident as I was some weeks ago. For now, I'm just keeping what I have and will ride the variance instead of hedging and taking a bit of guaranteed profit.
