A friend told me about this platform a few weeks ago and I figured I'd check it out. I am a blogger on Wordpress mostly focusing on trans issues. I have an unusual story in that I'm a Canadian expat that started to transition in South Korea at 30. And I've recently moved to the Netherlands. Most of my writing is about how fucked up it is to transition outside of my own culture, testing borders, medical infrastructure, and generally what it's like to be globally trans—which isn't always easy. I also blog about depression and anxiety. Wow, I'm really selling this.
I use to be an IB teacher (History, Literature, and TOK); I've lived in Bangladesh and Korea. Over the years I've developed a love for photography—some of that might appear here from time to time. I will end off by saying that I am currently in grad school at Utrecht University. I am writing an autoethnography about my experience with globalised transitioning.
So, let's see how this goes. I'm always excited to try new platforms.
