your right about having solar installed being a scam to keep people on the grid though! 100% really everyone should have it connected to a large enough battery set up to keep enough to last the non peak times
also the future will require us being a lot less wasteful with energy and finding other systems to replace large drains on energy, things like cookers and fridges for example.... as its quite easy to cook over a fire.... also many houses still have chimneys but the fireplace is just covered and ive seen a friend knock the thin plaster wall through and re tile the fire place and put it back in action.... if things carry on the way they are its good to know that we can heat our homes from fire wood retrieved when walking the dog or sourced from skips.... although some people say recycling from skips is stealing....
