Meet Saitama

Those of you that read my previous post about this cat may be familiar with this picture.

Originally I was going to call the cat Mr. Tinkles because of its affinity for spraying everywhere. After being informed that wasn’t a particularly nice name, I had to think of something new. The cat is Siamese and even though that’s not Japanese, it’s still Asian, so I decided to name it Saitama after the popular Japanese cartoon character.

Where Saitama Calls Home

I’m still not sure where Saitama calls home. Sometimes I don’t see him for a few days in a row, and other times it seems he spends just about all day and all night on my property. I’m not sure if he has a home he’s going to, or if he just goes wandering on adventures.

He’s a big cat, far bigger than the picture really shows. He’s the biggest, heaviest cat I’ve ever picked up. He’s not fat though, he’s just heavy. That would hint that maybe he’s getting more food than what kibble I give him and whatever small creatures he might get for himself.

By the same token, he’s had the same eye boogers for a long time now, the sort of thing you would think someone would clean off it he actually had a home he was going to. I haven’t cleaned them off yet because I’ve only just started picking him up and carrying him around so I don’t think he’s quite ready to have a wet paper towel rubbed on his face.

Also he’s an un-neutered male and if he belonged to someone I would think they would have had him neutered by now.

Watching the Cat

I’m still keeping a watch on the cat and making sure it has access to at least some kibble and water, which it seems to know is available now and where it is, so I know it won’t go hungry. I’m still trying to determine if it belongs to someone or if it’s just a cat that wanders and has decided to live on my property.
