Greetings, friends of Hive and the Chess Community! It's a pleasure to be here again, sharing my experiences at the Saturdays HiveChess S1R8 Arena Tournament held on Saturday, where I participated once again.
First of all, congratulations to the winners. It was a great tournament, with many surprises and excellent players. My congratulations to all the participants, and especially to the three finalists. They did excellent.
On this occasion, my performance wasn't very good, however, I'm not discouraged. I know I'm learning, and I see every defeat as a learning experience.
On this occasion, I'd like to highlight the positive aspects of my play when facing one of the best in the tournament, user @jaki01, an excellent chess player whom I had to face. Like any warrior, I gave my all, even though victory wasn't my destiny. I knew, despite wanting to put up a tough fight like in the passage from Hercules Fighting the Lernaean Hydra, that my fate was sealed. Hahahahahaha Drama... I don't know if it's the best story, but it's the only one that comes to mind, hahahahaha
Let's break down the five best moves with my pieces in this game, as I told you. I faced @jaki01, who ultimately won, but I put up a great fight, and these are what I consider to be my best moves. #
1.
This move helps me clear the path for the bishop and prepare it for battle.
2
This was a very good move on my part because I endangered his knight with my pawn and managed to force him to retreat.
3
Here I dared to bring the bishop to the center to Gaining control in the middle of the board.
4
On my fourth success, I had the opportunity to endanger the Black King with my Bishop, although the danger wasn't very significant.
5
On my fifth move, I tried to create threats against the black king and buy time. However, it wasn't enough to turn the game around.
Many of the moves I made weren't the best. I need to improve the following details:
Prioritize the development of your pieces
Maintain control of the center
Don't neglect the king and protect my rooks
Try not to make too many exchanges because it's necessary to conserve your pieces
Have good planning
Always be aware of my opponent's threats
Studying chess is very complex and requires a lot of practice and concentration. I will be attentive and try to continue studying to improve.
Thank you for reading my post and I'll see you next time. Take care, and many blessings to all.
