Gonna do a really short post today, since it is a bit late. I just wanted to put 3 observations here about the song.
It sounds different than the original MIDI I made. I think that's because everything has very slightly different sound clips for each instrument, so the song turned out slightly different than I intended... It's not a big deal of course- if it were, I'd have found a different way to convert it (like using Audacity to record my computer audio).
This took way longer to do than I thought. Honestly, this was probably 2-4 hours of work- longer than it took to play through a run of Isaac and edit the video; longer than it took to draw for an hour then edit it down; longer than any massive ramble I've written to date. Writing songs takes time.
I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing when it comes to chords. Seriously. The organ piece in the beginning took me about 10 minutes to write, and then the "bridge" (the bit after the two chord pattern) took another 20. It was really just guess and check- play a couple notes together, see how they sound, repeat until it's acceptable. Probably a bassist thing. I should really learn some proper music theory...
Anyways, hope you enjoy this! If I get the motivation, I might try writing more songs in different styles, who knows?
