"I don't believe in the wild," says the biologist on the podcast. Such a dichotomy doesn't exist, she explains. What humans do is just as much a part of nature as the nature that humans do less in.

I like how she thinks. I like feeling included. I like that I am a part of nature whether I'm summiting a mountain on the Olympic Peninsula or sprawled out in my underwear on my computer in front of my air conditioner.

All that which humans make, which humans take... Maybe we make and take too much, but it all comes from this wild/not wild place we call home.

One day we will be done making and taking. One day we will be gone, and the earth will reclaim all that we have made.
