I love my relationship with these birds. When I take pictures of them, it doesn't feel like wildlife photography. It feels like portraits.

I spend so much time with them, sometimes hours a day. They teach me things about crows. And about patience. And about letting go of control.

Lorena comes closer and closer each day to accept the food I offer. She is cautious, but very brave. Her trust means more to me than I could ever put into words.馃尯
From an artist's perspective, I think that crows are fantastic for black and white.

Ultimately, though, the photography and the food are just excuses we make to hang out with one another.
