Hi Friends!
I filmed this vlog on my last day in Seward, Alaska. It was so nice to walk down to the water and just spend some time sitting alone enjoying the scenery. It got me thinking about how even though my life is far from perfect - and isn't quite where I want it to be yet in a lot of ways... I'm pretty damn happy.
It's freeing to understand that we have full control over how we feel and how we experience life at any given moment. Even though I'm still working towards some really big goals in my life - that doesn't mean I can't have a kick-ass life in the meantime.
In this video, I talk about three different areas that I think can really lead to having an awesome life - no matter what stage you are in. Here's a quick recap - but be sure to watch the video for a more in-depth thought process.
Don't rush life. Those big, juicy, amazing goals take time and that's a good thing. In this part I also chat about letting go of the things you can't control and how all those little stressors can really add up.
Always be a student. A learning mind is an engaged mind and I think there is so much value in being a humble place of learning.
Hone the discernment on when to say yes and when to say no. Some of my biggest stepping stones in life have come from me saying YES to things - even when it was out of my comfort zone or seemed a little crazy. On the flip side... saying YES to too many things can hold you back from working on the things you REALLY care about. Learning to listen to your gut on these kinds of decisions is a life long practice.
I really hope you guys enjoyed this vlog and some of my ramblings from the Alaskan Coast!
What else would you add to this list? What types of mindsets or actions make you feel like you are living a kick-ass life?
XO, Lea
