Social Media Challenge: Evade + Regen = Broken

Hello Splinterfam! I'm back again for the weekly Social Media Challenge. For this week's challenge I decided to share to you a battle on a strategy I am running if given the chance. If you are new here, I only play on Silver League Modern Format so more likely the strategy/content I would be mostly sharing is for Silver only. Now let's jump into it.

For this strategy to work. The key monster to use are Possibilus the Wise, Coeurl Lurker, Angelic Mandarin and Spirit Hoarder. This strategy relies solely on Coeurl Lurker not dying early, I recommend using this strategy on mid Mana Cap (36-43 mana Cap) because of the 2 low mana cost unit the Angelic mandarin and the Spirit Hoarder and also the lower the mana cap the lower the possibility of Coeurl Lurker getting bursted. Now let us jump into battle, I will explain to you why I placed certain monsters in their position and what my thought are while preparing for the battle.

The Rules were Melee Mayhem which made me want to play Possibilus The Wise. Then upon checking the Mana Cap, it is perfect for the strategy. 38 mana cap with Fire, Water, Life and Death Splinter available to use.

The Line up I used was:

  • Possibilus The Wise: Since the rules was Melee Mayhem the Trample would come in handy plus the extra health he gives would increase the survivability of Coeurl Lurker making it survive much longer or sometimes unkillable if the opponent lack the damage.
  • Xenith Monk: I placed him on frontline since almost more likely the damage would go to Coeurl Lurker and Xenith Monk would only take 1 Attack coming from opponents Frontline, Xenith Monk would only Heal the damage taken making him somewhat an Off Tank.
  • Coeurl Lurker: To tank incoming damage with the Taunt and Dodge ability.
  • Cruel Sethropod: Low mana, decent attack, with armor monster that can attack from back because of the Melee Mayhem rule.
  • Angelic Mandarin: To Heal Coeurl Lurker.
  • Spirit Hoarder: To also Heal Coeurl Lurker.
  • River Hellondale: To increase the damage of all melee monster with its inspire ability and to also give Couerl Lurker a second chance if it dies with the Resurrect ability.

  • Conclusion

This strategy also requires prayers (lol) because you need Coeurl Lurker to Evade some of opponents attacks so that he would be given a chance to regenerate the damage taken thus praying the opponent to miss helps with the strategy. The addition of Possibilus The Wise opens up many strategies regarding melee monsters and also Coeurl Lurker is a very fun monster to use. The counter to this strategy is affliction and speedy monsters and also monsters with scattershot ability bypassing your taunt monster and killing your healer first.
