The scent of my life

In Gwangneung cc there is an old and old building where there are few people.
The walls of this building, built of heavy concrete, grow on ivy
It looks like a lungs. This beautifully constructed golf course
People might think it's a fly in the ointment, but I like this building.
This is the sewage treatment plant of Gwangneung cc.
광릉cc의 인적이 드문 곳에 오래되고 낡은 건물이 있다.
육중한 콘크리트로 세워진 이 건물벽면에는 담쟁이 넝쿨이 자라서
마치 폐가처럼 보인다. 사람들은 아름답게 조성된 골프장에
이 건물은 옥의 티라고 생각할지 모르지만 나는 이건물이 좋다.
여기는 광릉cc의 오수처리장이다.

When you open the door, the machine will turn
People smell bad smells.
I like this smell.
It is the smell that the wast water is born again.
I am an environmental engineer who manages and controls microorganisms.
So I smell it in my body.
문을 열고 들어가면 기계가 돌아가는 심한소음과 함께
사람들에게는 악취로 느껴질 냄새가 난다
나는 이 냄새가 좋다.
버려지는 물이 다시 태어나는 냄새다.
나는 미생물을 성장을 관리하고 통제하는 환경엔지니어다.
그래서 내 몸에서도 이 냄새가 난다.


I have been designing, constructing and managing water treatment facilities for decades.
I did not hesitate to work in this space where others are reluctant to work.
So my body has a smell that people avoid and are reluctant to do.
People hate this smell from my body.
I made the wasted water here.
This smell is the scent of my life.
수십년 동안 돌아 다니며 나는 수처리시설을 설계하고 시공하고 관리해왔다.
타인들이 꺼려하는 이공간에 들어와 일하는 것을 주저하지 않았다.
사람들은 내몸에서 나는 이 냄새를 싫어하지만
나는 이곳에서 버려지는 물을 이렇게 만들었다.
이 냄새는 내 삶의 향기다.
