당신이 오기전이 더 아름다웠다.

부처님 오신날이라 아내와 천마산 입구에 있는 수진사를 방문했다.
아내와 내 이름으로 소원성취를 기원하는 촛불을 밝히고 부처임께 인사를 하고 나오다가
절 뒷산에 깨끗하고 아름답게 조성된 공원에 홀리듯 이끌려 들어갔다.
It is a Buddhist day. My wife and I visited Sujing Temple at the entrance of Mount Chunma.We light candles to pray for fulfillment of wishes, greet our Buddha and come out. I was drawn into the clean, beautifully constructed park in the back of the temple.



가파른 언덕을 개간해서 인위적으로 조성된 공원에는 한참 제철인 철쭉이 화려하게 피어있다.
아내는 한참동안이나 넉을 잃고 아름답다고 했지만 나는 왠지 서글픈 생각이 들었다.
멀리서 볼때 아름답던 꽃무리들은 가까이서 보면 가지가 한쪽으로 뻗지 못하도록 잘려지고
성장이 통제되어 있었다. 마치 열병식을 보는 것처럼....
The park, which has been artificially created by clearing steep hills, has an azalea in full bloom. My wife loses for a while and says she is beautiful, but I thought I was sad. From a distance, beautiful flowers were cut so that the branches could not extend to one side, and growth was controlled as if they were watching the heat parade.


이공원의 주인은 수년에 걸쳐서 마음에 드는 소나무 몇그루를 제외하고 대부분의 수목을 정리하고 자신이 설계한대로 잔디를 심고 철쭉을 심고 조각작품 몇점을 공원 여기저기에 배치하여
어쩌면 자기와 닮은 공원을 만들었는지 모른다.
Over the years, the owner of this park has cut most of the trees except a few pine trees that he likes, planting lawns and planting azaleas as he designed, placing some pieces of sculpture here and there
Maybe he made a park that resembles himself.

하지만 나는 보았다. 소나무 그늘에 어색한 표정으로 웃는 철쭉과 무표정한 잔디를
이공원의 주인은 공원을 조성했다는 성취감으로 웃고 있을지 모르지만
나는 그에게 말하고 싶다.
But I saw. In the shade of pine trees, awkwardly smiling azaleas and deadly grass
The owner of this park may be laughing at the sense of accomplishment of creating a park. I want to tell him.

당신이 이언덕에 오기전이 더 아름다웠다.
이세상에 하잖은 것은 없으며 모든 것이 아름답다고...
It was even more beautiful before you came.
There is nothing in this world, everything is beautiful ...
