Hello Hivers and Wednesday Walkers
I'm about to head out for my hiking today, but before I go I'll share with you some pictures of my hike yesterday for the #WednesdayWalk.
One of the things that hubby and I are enjoying the most these days are those daily hike to the nature reserve at La Fila Park. This routine of going to the mountains at least four days a week, besides being fun, is helping us to improve our health.
Last week, I did the control tests prescribed by the doctor, and all my values are much better, especially cholesterol and glycemia, which were the ones I was most worried about. So we have a big incentive to keep eating healthy and continue to enjoy our walks and what nature is giving us every day as we are feeling better.
So let's go, and join me on my afternoon hike.
I always get little wonders to photograph like this colorful caterpillar. Have you ever seen one like this?
It's still raining a lot these days and there is a lot of humidity on some of the trails, so we always find some fungi on our way.
It's funny but I had never paid much attention to fungi in nature before, and now I love to photograph them
The view yesterday when we arrived at the viewpoint was breathtaking. One of those afternoons that makes you reconcile with the city.
It looked like a painting. El Avila looked majestic and the sky was clear as if announcing that December would soon arrive with its clear skies.
November is usually the last month of the rainy season here.
We stayed a while chatting and contemplating the view.
Time went by in a hurry and it was late afternoon. The view to the west showed us that the sun had already set. So we hurried back.
But always looking at the beautiful details like these tiny yellow flowers.
It was almost dark and for the first time, we noticed this lighted sign on the trail. I wonder if it's something they've put up for mountain bikers who frequent these trails even at night.
By the time we reached the last section of the trail to leave the reserve, it was already dark, even though It was only 6 p.m.
We weren't afraid of getting lost, but in that darkness, my biggest fear was finding a snake.
Fortunately, our little adventure ended without incident and without any unwanted encounters, hehe. But we will go a bit earlier these afternoons so we don't get caught in the dark on the mountain.
