Hello Happy #HPUD and #HPUM to all. Today I reflect back on last month. What an incredible fun and busy month it was for me. Well let's get to my favorite day of the month on Hive :)
I start the day powering up on the first of the month for the 7th consecutive time. I love seeing this colorful chart of progress. I told you last month I was changing the way I power up. I decided it was better to power up on a dailey basis instead of holding a good chunk of Hive for one day. I'm happy and proud that I was able to do this.
I wanted to try out Hive Power Up Month. I'm proud to accomplish this achievement on my first attempt. What a challenging achievement this was. There was a day or two I almost forgot. I was on vacation for 10 days last month and to be honest I thought I would fail somewhere along that span. I will try and see how long I can keep getting this badge. It really isn't as easy as it looks. If you haven't tried it yet and like a good challenge give this one a try.
Oh I had a great relaxing time on my vacation. I took a road trip across the state of South Dakota. I made three main stops. First stop was Sioux Falls (Eastern South Dakota) where I visited with my mother. Second stop, I visited with one of my sisters in Chamberlain, South Dakota (Central South Dakota). Third stop was in Rapid City, South Dakota (Western South Dakota) where my son and I visited many places. All stops I had the opportunity to get out and explore. It's been awhile since I had this much time to myself. I have shared quite a bit on Hive on these experiences and I have a few more to share :)
I have thought of making another trip up there before Winter. Maybe just a shorter one to catch a few places I didn't get the chance to see. I have the paid time off of work to do so just have to build up the trip jar again.
I feel I had a pretty productive month according to my activity level. Don't we all like charts that show upward trends? This one I absolutely love because it shows my growth here. Looking at it and making sense of it has given me some new goals to reach by the end of the year. I think a challenging and much possible goal for me will be hitting 2,000 HP by the end of the year.
I wrote 10 articles this month and I was surprised I wrote quite a few of them while I was on vacation. I had some time in the morning and before bed time. Not as busy as last month here but not to far off from it.
You know this day doesn't have to be just about ourselves powering up. I've decided to power up the newest member I could find. If we can influence our newest members we are a better growing community as a whole. What a good way to show them what this community is all about. Your welcome 
Today I power up 50 HP for myself. Feeling good everytime I do this every first of the month. Hey it's all about growing and having a better influence. It helps both ourselves and others.
There's still time if you haven't powered up yet. It's a great thing to do and writing an article on it can lead to rewards that can help you grow even faster.
Before I let you go I have to mention my father. Well many welcome the start of the "Ber" months, I always reflect on this day and look above. It was 34 years ago today my father passed away. He will never be forgotten and I'm sure he's still watching us from above. May you rest in peace forever Dad :)
I've been a little busy lately. I may take a few days off from publishing and just do some reading and engaging.
